Introduction

This lesson presents ten phrasal verbs in the context of a conversation. Students focus on the meaning of those phrasal verbs through a vocabulary and meaning matching exercise. They then do written activities to practise using the phrasal verbs. Finally, students have the option of participating in a discussion activity in which they should use the verbs in a natural way.

A student worksheet accompanies this lesson. However, teachers can use a presentation for a no-printing option.
