Rants and raves - Reality TV

This activity provides short listening practice based around a monologue regarding reality TV in the UK. The monologue provides observations of reality TV.

In this lesson, students will listen to a monologue about a persons reflection of reality TV. They will put the monologue in order and answer comprehension questions. There are also suggestions for developing the theme of reality TV to practise specific areas of grammar.

Aims:

  • To generate discussion around TV reality shows
  • To help students practise listening skills

Age group:

Adults and teenagers

Level:

CEF level A2-B1

Time:

30 minutes plus time for developing the theme
