We thank the editor of the conference proceedings, Chris Sowton, who conceptualised and led the process working with Benjaporn Phomahad from the British Council Thailand. Chris worked tirelessly and collaboratively with the Conference Steering Committee and stakeholders to ensure that the publication is comprehensive and accessible.
We hope that the proceedings will provide readers with insights into issues of language education and development that are happening around the world, that it steers conversations and continues to raise awareness of these issues in the future.
