Teaching English via SMS

In contexts where connectivity is poor and smart phones are not the norm, teachers, learners and parents can be supported through SMS. Written text involves low levels of data so it is low cost, it does not require many technical skills, it can be sent to individuals or groups and it can be interactive or non-interactive. This document provides practical ideas and activities for enhancing English language teaching and learning through the use of standard SMS.
