Refugee Learning Ecosystems: reimagining higher education access for refugees

A report on how the concept of Learning Ecosystems might be used in the context of higher education in emergencies.

Learning Ecosystems are 'open and evolving communities of diverse providers that cater to the variety of learner needs in a given context or area'. They offer a learner-driven model which can be applied in a range of formal and informal learning spaces. Learning Ecosystems can diversify learning pathways and activate new resources for learning. This research explores examples of refugee Learning Ecosystems, to understand what enables ecosystems to develop and how they contribute to refugee learning.

The report begins by explaining what Learning Ecosystems are and how they apply to an education context, and specifically to higher education in emergencies contexts. Insights, examples and case studies are identified through this research.
