ELTons webinars: 2015 winner of The Macmillan Education Award for New Talent in Writing
We are pleased to bring you a series of webinars showcasing ideas from the 2015 ELTons winning innovations. Here we present the 2015 winner of The Macmillan Education Award for New Talent in Writing.
About the webinar
In this presentation Dr. Chris Lima discusses the ways of teaching Shakespeare to English language learners in order to make them familiar with his plays while improving their vocabulary and language skills. She argues that working with Shakespeare’s language and exploring connections of the plays with students’ lives can contribute to learners’ enjoyment of the plays and the development of an increasing awareness of the use of the language. Examples of practical activities to use in the classroom are also provided.
