From our experience working in different school contexts, inclusion in education involves an integrated approach to policy, educational culture and classroom practice and good practice is an ongoing process. Key issues are access, engagement, empowerment, and enablement. What do these terms mean, how can they be applied? This is an interactive session looking at how we can take small but significant steps through an inclusive practice approach. We discuss what teacher educators can do to make a difference in supporting approaches to successful teaching and learning.
