An index to twenty-five years of English language teaching, 1946–1971

Published in 1972, this volume covers the first 25 years of the journal now known as ELT Journal. Compiled by the British Council's English Teaching Information Centre (ETIC), the index contains 14 subject sections, from spoken English to language learning, plus an author index.

Volume, year and page number references are provided to articles published in the journal, which started life as a British Council publication and was later, from volume 16 (1961–62) onwards, taken on by Oxford University Press.
